If you would like us to also arrange a prize specifically for a school group then contact us to discuss this further, as we're more than happy to work with you in ensuring your visit is a hands on learning experience.

School Groups - get your students involved and they could WIN an annual pass
The best story, poem or drawing about Staglands Wildlife Reserve that a child sends us after their visit will win an annual pass.

It's important for us that the experience a child has is positive and educational. If you would like to organise a competition specifically for your class then let us know and we can help you to arrange it.

To enter either post or email us your student's entries to: Akatarawa Valley, RD2, Upper Hutt or email: wildlife@staglands.co.nz.

When sending in your entries please include the name of your school, the students name, email address and contact phone number.

All entries will be displayed in a special book in our cafe and winners promoted on our website and via our e-newsletter The Stag Rag.

Please contact us to discuss this further.

How can we help you?
If you have an idea of how Staglands could help you and your classroom with a hands-on learning experience (either during their visit or in your school) and ways that we can work in with you and your curriculum then please feel free to contact us.

It may involve a talk about birds in which we could have one of our birds available to touch, or a talk on native fauna, or a talk on New Zealands KuneKune pig in which one of our KuneKune's could be on a lead for your students to touch and learn about. Any idea you have let us know.

We're always happy to 'think outside the square' and help our local communities where we can!

The School Stag Rag newsletter
If you do not receive this but would like to, then contact us and mention that you would like to be included on our special e-newlsetter. The School Stag Rag has been produced to keep schools informed and we aim to send one out about every 2-3 months.
