We currently have full time, permanent employment available in the cafe at Staglands. You will need to have your own reliable transport and enjoy working in a rural environment.

One of our rare Arapawa island nanny goats has given birth to a healthy set of twin kids. Thought to number less than 400 worldwide, the New Zealand Arapawa goat is one of the rarest goat breeds in the world and critically close to extinction.

We have recently welcomed a pair of Emu chicks, the largest bird in Australia, and the second largest in the world after the ostrich.

Other recent arrivals are a pair of Auckland Island pigs. They have come from another reserve to help increase the gene pool of this rare breed here at Staglands.
