The Old Bush Settlement & Railway
This area is a nostalgic recreation of an abandoned Akatarawa bush settlement giving a unique view of the life led by the pioneers during the early settlement of New Zealand. Have fun exploring all the nooks and crannies of this unique old settlement including the jail house where you can take some fun photos of friends and family locked up in the village stocks! Have a ride on the bush railway and walk the boardwalks looking for the red eared slider turtles, black swans and paradise ducks that make their home here.
Larry The Landrover & Fergie The Tractor
Clamber aboard John's old landrover & tractor for some make believe fun with your friends!
Burn off some energy on the rope swing. The deep, slow moving river is also ideal for swimming in.
In the cooler months we sell marshmallows for toasting on the cosy campfire down by The Barn - always popular with children - make sure they don't miss out on this fun activity!
