Staglands Terms and Conditions of Entry

All entry tickets are personal to the purchaser, are non-transferable and non-refundable. You may be refused entry or required to leave at our request any time. Especially those who are deemed to be a nuisance, acting recklessly or failing to observe directions from Park signage or staff. If you are intoxicated, you will be refused entry or required to leave.

We offer a variety of activities and attractions and advise that risk may be presented from open waterways, weather conditions, trees, wildlife and interactive wildlife displays, walking surfaces, and other non- specified elements within the Reserve. Care must be exercised by all visitors and children must be actively supervised.

Children 16 years and under must be accompanied at all times by a responsible guardian or caregiver aged 17 years or over.

No liability for loss, injury, damage, harm or suffering by any visitor or any other person will be accepted. In the event that liability of any kind is attributed to Staglands Wildlife Reserve and Cafe or any of its officers or employees, such liability is limited to the amount of any ticket or admission price paid by the person to whom Staglands Wildlife Reserve and Café is liable.

Car parking is provided. The management accepts no liability for any claim by you or any other person, whether for loss or damage to or from your vehicle or any other vehicle, whether resulting from using the car park or from your own negligence or otherwise.

Refunds – Staglands Wildlife Reserve and Café maintain the right to assess refunds on a case by case basis and any decision on refunds is entirely at the discretion of the Management. If you would like to make a complaint or request a refund you must let us know in person, whilst still onsite or by contacting us via email to wildlife@staglands.co.nz with all pertinent details. Your complaint will be investigated and we expect to deal with it fairly and promptly.

For health and safety reasons and animal welfare, we do not permit bikes, scooters, roller blades, skate boards, balloons etc as well as footballs/balls into the Park.
First aid facilities are available at our Ticket Office.

Animals or pets, apart from fully vaccinated pre-approved assistance dogs, are not permitted in the park.

No commercial or charitable activity may be undertaken without express permission from Staglands Management.

No commercial photography/filming to be taken without prior permission – please contact us for more information.

From time to time Staglands Wildlife Reserve and Café (or other parties authorised by Staglands) carry out photography and/or video recordings which may feature visitors. By entering the Reserve and/or Café you agree that Staglands (or other parties authorised by Staglands) may use such images in perpetuity in any promotional advertising or publicity material in any format whatsoever. You further agree that copyright in these materials rests with Staglands (or other parties authorised by Staglands).

We advise that the Tractor Trailer ride has a specific list of requirements and conditions. These are outlined before departure of the Tractor Trailer Ride. Visitors choosing to participate in this activity do so at their own risk and must comply with those conditions and requirements or entry onto the ride will be denied.
